Ragene Walker
As founder and CEO of iCareHair, Ragene Walker built her empire from the ground up, by incorporating her knowledge of hair styling with her love for natural hair care.
iCareHair began with Ragene’s “home based salon” where she took pride in doing clients’ hair right in her living room. Unlike most stylists who only care about the outcome of the desired hairstyle, Ragene took pride in ensuring that each of her clients had healthy hair from root to tip. iCareHair grew with Ragene’s own healthy hair journey as she decided it was time to share some of the hair care tips, and products that she formulated for her own hair with her clients, and the rest of the world.
Ragene’s hair products were initially for her clientele, but became highly requested after word spread, by word of mouth, about how amazing her products were. Customers fell in love with Ragene’s Moisturizing Hair Butter and Dry Scalp oil, and were impressed by their ability to moisturize the hair and nourish the scalp.
Ragene decided that she couldn’t stop there, and she began her journey to create a product that would help her sister, who struggled for years with hair loss due to alopecia. After several years of research, and whipping up sample batches right in her kitchen, Ragene created iCareHair’s “Royal Crown Growth Elixir,” which received praise from everyone who used it. Ragene began receiving testimonials from customers all over the world describing how the Moisturizing Hair butter softened their hair and made it more manageable, about how the Dry Scalp Oil helped with customers’ dandruff and itchy scalp issues, and about how the Growth Elixir helped grow their edges back.
Ragene then went on to launch iCareHair’s “Royal Crown Collection,” to create a full line of luxury products that contained the perfect blend of organic ingredients. These products were designed to moisturize the hair, nourish and stimulate blood flow to the scalp, restore edges, regrow bald spots, and promote overall healthy hair growth. iCareHair has restored the confidence of hundreds of women around the world, as this luxurious natural hair care brand helped them restore the crown they wear daily.

Professional Services
iCareHair offers a Variety of professional hair services that primarily include treatment and styling of the natural hair. From protective styles like Knotless Box braids, crochet braids, and Faux Locs, to natural hairstyles like wash-n-go’s, braid/twist outs, and braids using your natural hair; iCareHair ensures that you will leave with a style that you love. No matter the style you choose your hair will be treated delicately and great care will be taken to ensure that the hairstyle does not cause any unnecessary stress or tension on your hair.
Whether they are natural or have hair that is chemically treated, each client leaves with information and tips on how to care for their hair. Discounted products are also offered at the time of service to ensure that each client has the opportunity to leave with an individualized care package that is beneficial in the promotion of growth, and maintenance of their specific hair type and texture.
The Process
Hair Care
Hair care begins with booking an appointment. Each appointment includes a wash, steam hydration deep condition, blow dry, and trim if need. Ragene also provides braiding hair and hair accessories at no extra cost. Ragene takes her time to ensure that each style is neat, that her parts are always clean and that braids are never too tight. Ragene uses products that are carefully selected to meet each clients’ specific hair and styling needs. Ragene puts the health of the client’s hair first and never agrees to a style that she believes may cause damage to a client’s hair. Ragene ends her appointments by advising each client on how to keep up with their hairstyle, as well as gives tips on how to care for their hair on their own.
Hair Products
iCareHair products are hand crafted in a sanitized environment using only 100% certified organic, plant based ingredients. Each new product goes through a test phase where they are initially tested on the founder’s hair and/or skin. The Products are then tested for stability, shelf life, and effectiveness before being released to the public. Once the products pass this stage they are then tested by the founder’s close friends and relatives before being offered to a small sample of volunteers of different hair types and textures. Reviews and opinions are collected and taken into consideration, and any necessary changes to the formula are made before being released for purchase. Hair products are made in small batches to ensure that customers receive fresh batches of products, not just products that sit around on the shelf waiting to be purchased. This same process is also taken with our skin care products.
Hair Accessories
The process of making hair accessories begins with a trip to the fabric store. Ragene travels to a variety of different fabric stores to gather the different types of fabric and materials needed. iCareHair accessories are all cut, sewn, and handmade by Ragene herself. Ragene takes her time to ensure that each Durag, Bonnet, Pillowcase, and scrunchie are all properly sewn and are of great quality. Prior to shipping an order, Ragene completes each package with a personalized hand written thank you card containing discount codes that can be used towards future purchases.
